Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Last updated: March 1, 2026

Your Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. While OpenLife does not sell personal information in the traditional sense, certain data sharing activities with our partners may qualify as a “sale” under these laws.

What This Means

When you use our Services, we may share certain information with insurance carriers and business partners to provide you with quotes and process applications. Under some state privacy laws, this sharing may be considered a “sale” even if no money changes hands.

How to Opt Out

You can exercise your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information by:

  • Emailing us at privacy@getopenlife.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell”
  • Calling us at 1-800-555-0123
  • Writing to us at: OpenLife, Privacy Department, New York, NY 10001

What Happens After You Opt Out

Once we process your request, we will stop sharing your personal information with third parties for purposes that may be considered a “sale” under applicable law. This will not affect data sharing necessary to service your existing policy or process a pending application.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Opting out will not affect the quality or availability of our Services, your premium rates, or any other aspect of your insurance coverage.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We may require verification of the agent's authority to act for you, such as a signed permission letter or power of attorney.
