1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the OpenLife website, mobile application, or any of our services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Service Terms (“Terms”). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
2. Description of Services
OpenLife provides an online platform that enables users to obtain life insurance quotes, apply for coverage, and manage their policies. We act as a licensed insurance agency, connecting consumers with insurance carriers. The policies issued through our platform are underwritten and issued by independent insurance carriers, not by OpenLife.
3. Eligibility
To use the Services, you must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
4. User Accounts
You may be required to create an account to access certain features of the Services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when using the Services, including but not limited to personal health information, financial information, and contact details. Providing false or misleading information may result in denial of coverage or cancellation of your policy by the issuing carrier.
6. Insurance Products
All insurance products available through the Services are subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the applicable insurance policy. OpenLife does not guarantee approval of any application. Coverage decisions are made solely by the issuing insurance carrier based on their underwriting guidelines.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of OpenLife or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenLife shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to OpenLife in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Services. Your continued use of the Services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
